Filed back in back in late July, 2007, Apple managed to get two patents, both titled "Graphical User Interfaces for a Display Screen or Portion Thereof", accepted. These two patents include the Slide-to-Unlock feature and the enlargement of letters on virtual keyboard user types. Both patents are popularly used by other smartphones now.
