According to the PCMag, Apple said it would relax restrictions it put in place earlier this year to allow its developers to use more development tools. This is a reversal in Apple's strong stand for protection and against allowing third party vendors like Adobe to support Flash on iOS.
In the wake of Apple's decision to relax restrictions on the tools its developers can use, Adobe announced Friday that it would resume development on Flash for the iPhone.
Why the sudden reversal? Could it be because of strong competition from rivals like Google Android and RIM BlackBerry, and not forgetting Microsoft's soon-to-launch revolutionary Windows Phone? According to IDC report, Google Android market share is exploding, 16.3% in 2010 as compared to Apple iOS's 14.7%. Google Android's share is predicted to jump from 16.3% in 2010 to 24.6% by 2014 while Apple iOS's share to decline from 14.7% to 10.9% in the same period.
