Definition of fever

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH),

“Fever is defined as an oral temperature above 37.5 degree Celsius for screening purposes. When using ear thermometers, please refer to the manufacturer’s instruction for the fever temperatures.”

“Oral temperatures may be affected by hot or cold food and drinks. Hence oral temperature should not be taken within 30 minutes of taking hot or cold food and drinks.”
