Google last did an overhaul by launching a black navigation bar at the top just last July. And now, Google is making yet another revamp to its navigation - removing the top black navigation bar completely and including have links to various Google services in a new drop-down Google menu nested under the Google logo.
I thought the July's design is okay and not taking up space actually. Subjective.
