A comment posted on a blog reveals the chairs in the board rooms (beside the CEO’s room) cost an unbelievable $2,000 each. There are a total of 20 such "gold" chairs and so this makes it a total of $40,000 just for chairs alone.
If the comment posted is true, then I wonder if it is necessary. In my opinion, the account books of NTUC Income should be audited by an independent auditor and made known to the public.
