Mr Lui, who is the Member of Parliament for the Tanjong Pagar GRC, has asked PUB to explain what the situation is, as well as to know what plans PUB has in place to alleviate the situation. Parts of his Tanjong Pagar constituency were affected by the 17 Jul flash floods.
In times like this, I hope the Prime Minister, Environment Minister, Home Minister and PUB can come out and speak up. Such act of slowness in handling calamity would have been slammed openly if it happened in United States.
